The 4 Steps to Finding your Best Colors to Wear

We all want to wear their best colors! There are some clothes that you don't like to wear. They are probably the wrong color. There are clothes you wear repeatedly, and they are probably the right colors. There are days individuals ask if we are feeling OK, and day's people ask if we just returned from holiday or lost weight.

According to Christian Image Advisor, finding your ideal colors to wear means you will

  • Offer a positive first impression.

  • Appear refreshed and youthful

  • Look more confident

  • Be less self-conscious about your image.

It also means an END to;

  • Second-guessing whether you are a spring, summer, fall, or winter

  • Wondering if your skin texture is warm or cool

  • The old "a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear" stress

  • Headshots that appear like everybody else and don't talk about your personality

  1. Take Benefit of Expert Color Analysis or Discover Your Signature Color

Observe professional services for a complete run down. You will know everything you require about your Color Code, ideal neutrals, "pop" colors, and we will produce a custom wardrobe color palette to assist with your shopping and wardrobe building.

If you have never done it, you will be surprised at the difference it makes in narrowing down your colors.

  • Take a picture of yourself.

  • Try on different colors then take your picture (close up or in natural light).

  • Searching for Colors That

  • Make your eyes shinny

  • Minimize dark circles or blemishes

  • Flatter the tones in the hair

  • Glowing your cheeks

  1. Make You Feel Relax or Good

You may post them on social media or share them with your closed ones. Ask them which colors seem to make you best or which ones are perfect for you.

  1. Revisit your Color Code Board

Search your Color Code's board on Pinterest. Your "pop" colors and ideal neutrals are available in their descriptions. Or revisit the board you produced for your Color Code.

  1. Determine Your Best Color Intensity

Light color code ladies wear light colors. The deeper your features, the deeper your colors must be. Compare a light lady, when you are searching for colors to wear, particularly near your face, look for the colors that look perfect for your Color Code. Light is equal light shades, deep is equal deep shades, and soft is equal medium shades.

Your clear gals have to look for bright colors. Warm plus cold color codes have to go, well; warm or cold but can do shades of medium intensity. Our high contrast cool gals can do some brighter colors.

Tips for Beautiful Head Shots from Christian Image Advisor

  1. Determine the Vibe, Feel of Your Head Shot

What is your online picture? Do you have a hidden desire to appear super professional? Do you want to look pleasant, approachable, bold, and determined? Do you crave for your first impression like vibrant, humble, fresh, and elegant? Then follow some descriptive words and plan your background or outfit accordingly.

We highly suggest setting up a Pinterest board for image ideas. Pinterest has several headshots inspirations. You need just to search the terms you are going for like red headshots, urban headshots, etc. You may also look for things like headshots for stylists and boss lady photo inspiration.

  1. Consider Your Brand Colors

Consider where your image is going. What colors do you utilize on your online profiles? Which colors are spread on your site? Your headshot may be in your Signature Color or mixed color. If your website is purple, you must put on a lilac or a mint green in your headshots.

For a busy brand, wear a simple top or jewelry. But if your brand is simple, think about wearing a plain top and a bright-colored necklace.

  1. Wear Your Ideal Colors for Your Color Code

If you have not got a color analysis or discover your signature colors, we have it all outlined for you. Solid colors are the best options. If you go with a print, think about these tricks from my post about scale and proportion.

  1. Accentuate Your Makeup

You must look a little "extra" on the day of your shoot, unless you may appear like me and go for the glam look on most days. It is the best time to hire a makeup artist, pay for a makeup lesson, or take the time to include lashes, other blush, and deeper lip color. You have a secrete desire that your photographers spend their time editing out a pimple, not adding eyeliner.

Never Be under Dressed Again (16 Point Accessory Rule)

Do you know that female who looks all stylish and put-together? She is following a good chance- whether she knows it or not–the sixteen point accessory rule. It can also be "how to get dressed" or never be underdressed again.

It is a technique to become safe against looking plain or lacking personality. If you are a lady who has to be noticed or unforgettable, it is the ideal way to get into the habit of dressing up and promoting your image.

  • 16 Point Accessory Rule

It includes;

  • 1 hair

  • 1 makeup

  • 2 earrings

  • 2 necklaces

  • 1 scarf

  • 1 top

  • + 1 for print

  • 1 pant

  • 2 shoes

  • 1 toe showing

  • 2 rings

  • 2 bracelets

= 16 points

The 16 point accessory rule automates over time. Until it does, please post it in your closet and try it a few times. If you find it isn't easy to get, then go shopping.

The following are the items or accessories that elevate any outfit;

  • A fun bag

  • Scarves

  • Printed tights

  • Bright lipstick

  • A cool belt

  • A wacky accessory

Check a Christian Image Advisor Closet

Do you want to see inside an Image advisor's closet? Closet organization is one of our favorite topics within our Insider's Group, and some of my most popular pins; therefore thought it would be fun to show you insider our closet!

Our closet is pretty extensive, and in addition to our wardrobe, it also houses our hubby's clothes plus a large safe on one side and all of our heat-sensitive sentimental products we cannot keep in the garage ( that aids to explain why we don't have more images to show–it is not much to look at).

The set-up is challenging, with just one high bar or a high shelf. We need to add the organizational elements that we have done on little to no budget.

  • On the right, you can see our capsule. The hanging canvas organizer keeps flip flops, slippers, etc. plus either swimsuits or cover-ups for summer or tights and leggings in winter.

  • Under that is a shoe holder that includes the pairs we wear most often.

  • We keep our less day to day jewelry in the double-sided hanging organizer with gold on one side or silver on the other (my day to day earrings or necklaces are on our dresser just outside your closet).

  • The white cube unit includes shoes (we now have the more amicable pairs in clear boxes rather than the boxes they came in) and pampering supplies. On top, we have camisoles or bralettes in the two beige fabric boxes, our regular bracelets on the jewelry organizer.

  • To the left, you see many hangers we have for scarves.

  • Beyond this area are just more clothes. We keep the following categories grouped;

  • Light jackets and cardigans (organized by color and weight)

  • Heavier jackets and the one coat we own kept away except in our two months of winter.

  • Dresses (arranged shortly to long, sleeveless to long sleeve and solid to print)

  • Formal wear and vacation attire

What we consider our "professional capsule wardrobe" in its area arranged by type like our central capsule.

The 7 Colors That Look Good on Everyone from Christian Image Consultant

The five colors that look good on everyone has been one of my all-time most famous posts. However, we kept including colors because we worked with more females, and now it is up to7! It is incredibly difficult to get pictures of ladies wearing solid colors, let alone the right color (and mainly who are not white, blonde, and 21-something). We have worked hard to represent all of them!

Here they are;

  • Royal blue

  • Hot pink

  • Emerald green

  • Turquoise

  • Red

  • Purple

  • Tea

Discover your Signature Style Statement

We put together this grid of some of our favorite outfits and asked our followers and closed friends to weigh in on the words they may use to describe our style. You may want to try that, too! We got flowy, elegant, colorful, casual, and all good ones. Some words we selected from the list are;

  • Dynamic

  • Unique

  • Energetic

  • Chic

  • Authentic

  • Vibrant

  • Confident

  • Colorful

  • Creative

  • Elegant

  • Polished

  • Joyful

  • Gracious

We then tried to group words and consider an outfit that came to mind.

  • Group One Includes

  • Dynamic

  • Chic

  • Unique

  • Creative

We think about palazzo, a loose tank, pants in a fun print, a relaxed and bespoke necklace. These accessories are a bit artsy. Something we would teach a workshop wearing.

  • Group Two Includes

  • Colorful

  • Vibrant

  • Energetic

  • Joyful

  • Confident

This list led us to a unique floral print dress, a kimono flowing behind me, and black and white stripes. It also includes neutrals with a "pop" of color, a bright shirt with a positive message, and fun scarves or headbands.

  • Group Three Includes;

  • Elegant

  • Gracious

  • Authentic

  • Polished

These make us led to the best jacket paired with jeans and a pretty top, a white blouse with wide-legged linen pants, solid colors paired with funky jewelry. That is how we see ourselves in the future—aging elegantly!

Final Words

A professional Christian image advisor believes that every woman can get the color confidence to shop, dress, and accessorize to confidently display her true self. The reality is everybody has to get dressed daily. The issue is whether it's an empowering or stressful experience. You can overcome this issue by selecting the best advisors, and there we stand proudly!

You love fashion, but your coloring has changed, and you are not sure if you are spring or summer (or maybe autumn?) anymore. Or maybe you have heard of color analysis but have no clue how to get your perfect colors. Hopefully, this guide will help you to resolve this issue and many of them within no time!
